This year, the foundation embarked on an ambitious project in partnership with K9s For Warriors, an organization committed to ending veterans suicide by pairing trained service dogs with military veterans suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and/or other military trauma.The goal was clear and impactful: raise $30,000 to provide a highly-trained service dog to a deserving veteran. The entire network of 1-800-SWEEPER partner sweeping companies rallied behind this cause with remarkable enthusiasm. These companies, which normally focus on providing professional power sweeping services across 32 states, redirected their collective energy towards this charitable endeavor to support veterans.The fundraising campaign kicked off on August 26th and ran through September, challenging the Partners of 1-800-SWEEPER to reach their $30,000 goal in just five weeks. This ambitious timeline required not only generous donations but also an efficient system to facilitate and track the fundraising process.
Scenic City Studios’ Contribution
This is where our team at Scenic City Studios had the opportunity to contribute. We were entrusted with the task of creating the web-based donation system that would help drive the fundraising efforts for the foundation. Our role, while small in the grand scheme of this incredible initiative, was to ensure that the technology supporting the campaign was robust, user-friendly, and effective.The system we developed aimed to make online giving secure, convenient, and hassle-free. It included features such as one-click donations, the ability for companies to create their own fundraiser accounts, and tools to track donations and generate reports. Our goal was to create a platform that would empower donors and fundraisers alike, making it easier for everyone to contribute to this worthy cause of supporting our veterans.

On October 22, 2024, at the International Sweeper Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada, a check for $30,000 was proudly presented to K9s For Warriors. This donation will fund a six-month training program for a service dog, including food, shelter, veterinary care, and necessary equipment like vests and leashes.But the impact goes far beyond the numbers. This initiative means that a veteran will receive the life-changing support of a highly-trained service dog. It means hope, companionship, and a renewed sense of independence for someone who has bravely served our country. Moreover, it often means saving a rescue dog, giving it a new purpose and a loving home.
